I just bought the BigShot kit not too long ago from Stampin Up. I think that I am in love with it already! This is officially my first creation using it and already I can't wait to use it again. For those of you that don't know what the BigShot is you can check it out in the catalog. Just click on the catalog link below and it will take you there. Look for it on page 193 of the Spring Summer 2009 catalog.
Alright, so are we ready to get stamping? Here's what you'll need:The BigShotSizzlets Birds & Blooms setUpsy Daisy stamp setWhisper White paperEarth Elements multi pack paper (specifically Old Olive, Not Quite Navy, and Ruby Red)Mini Glue DotsSnail AdhesiveNot Quit Navy Stamp padPaper CutterBone Folder (optional)So first let's cut the paper. Always try to cut all the paper before you start stamping and sticking.Cut the Not Quit Navy so that it is 4 inches 2by 8 and 1/2 inches.Cut the Old Olive into a piece 3 and 1/2 inches by 3 and 3/4 inches.Cut the Whisper White into a piece 3 and 1/4 inches by 3 and 1/2 inches.Using the BigShot and the large flower and the flowers and leaves die cut:Follow the directions that come with the BigShot and first run a piece of the Ruby Red paper through. You will end up with 3 flowers and 2 leaves.Next run the Whisper White through with just the 2 flowers and 2 leaves die cut. Last run the Old Olive paper through with just the 2 flowers and 2 leaves die cut. You will only use the big Ruby Red flower, the medium Whisper White flower, the small Ruby Red flower, and the 2 Old Olive leaves. Now you can begin to put your card together.First fold the Not Quit Navy paper in half so that the card is 4 inches by 4 and 1/4 inches. Use the Bone Folder to get a nice straight fold.
Using the Snail Adhesive attach the Old Olive paper into the center of the Not Quite Navy. Again using the Snail Adhesive attach the Whisper White paper into the center of the Old Olive. Using the Mini Glue Dots attach the small flower to the medium one and the medium flower to the large one.
In the top left corner attach the leaves with the Snail Adhesive and then the 3-D flower onto the leaves so that the leaves are coming out from behind the flower. Using the "You're on My Mind" stamp and the Not Quite Navy stamp pad, stamp onto the right bottom corner of the card. This saying is interchangeable depending on the use of your card.Enjoy using the making your card. I hope you like using the BigShot as much as I do!Let me know what you think.
This is a simple card made to be used for any occasion. Personally I am going to be sending it to a couple getting married next week. It's very simple, yet perfect.Use the pocket silhouettes stamp set and The Whisper White card stock. Cut the whisper white into a sheet that is 5 abd 1/2 inches by 8 inches. Fold in half long ways so that the card is 5 and 1/2 by 4. Stamp the pocket silhouettes using the Summer Sun stamp pad from the earth elements set repeatedly along the bottom of the card. Tie Chocolate Chip ribbon around the front half of the card just above the stamped flowers.Personalize the card and you are all set to send.
I created this card using the Upsy Daisy stamp set. I fell in love with this stamp set the very first time I saw it used. It is very versatile and very cute. This particular card was made to tell my Aunt that I'm thinking about her. However, you can use any saying that you want and turn it into any type of card that you would like. I know in the set there is a saying and it would make a perfect Thank You as well.So here's how I created it. The paper you need is Whisper White and Not Quite Navy from the Earth Elements set. Cut the Whisper White into a piece that is 4 and 3/4 inches by 4 and 1/4 inches. The Not Quite Navy should be cut 4 inches by 3 inches. Using the Old Olive stamp pad from the Earth Elements stamp the flowers onto the Not Quite Navy. Try to center the stamp. Once you are done stamping it use the Snail adhesive and attach it to the Whisper White card stock. In the bottom right use the Old Olive stamp pad again and stamp using the You're On My Mind Stamp from the Upsy Daisy stamp set.Inside is blank so finish by filling out the inside and send it out. The person on the receiving end will enjoy it so much.If you have any questions feel free to contact me.Enjoy Stampin!!
